such a big deal is being made over this pink shirt thing... to me, it really isnt much of a big deal whether I see guys walking around in pink or not...
Dr C said before thoes colours come across "weak". its not like people go around looking at people who wear black saying "woah they look so stong and scary!". To have such a strong opinion about such a thing as a colour of a peice of clothing.. you must be pretty insecure about your image.

Colour is an important part of human perception. It triggers emotion and is part of the obselite servival mechanisms that kept our ape forefathers alive. Red for instance (The colour of blood) is very alarming, and gains the our attention quickly. Blue (The colour of a clear sky) is asociated with tranquility.
Black's meaning has been destroyed due to the fact that it has become a cliche for people who are trying to make themselves stand out by making it seem as if they are trying fade into the backgroud (Emos). Hence people who wear a lot of black are often stereotyped into this image. But traditionaly black is a colour of mystery, fear and the unknown (like the night).
Pink has been given a double meaning, both through the instincktive means and the stereotypical femenine status it is given through socity (As babies, boy's room are painted Blue, girls are painted pink). Hence, from a young age, we males are conditioned to see pink as a very feminine colour. Females also see it this way, which is perhaps why they try and force males to wear it, as it shows them asserting their sexuality. That or women are just proforming their funtions of being gimps to fasion, and are trying to spreed the diesis to everyone else.
anyway, the point I am trying to make is that pink convyes a message that most men do not want to be associated with. (Just remember, pink is the colour of pussy.)
Also, I resent being singled out as the only person, male or female, that hates pink. There are many of us, who are bideing their time...waiting for pink to be cycled out of fasion. (lets face it, everyone wil be paying it out is a few years time....just wait and see)

I stand With Dr C in that Pink is commonly seen as a girls colour and this leads many men to not want to wear it. I myself am an Anti pink male. Me Girl is still persistent in getting me to wear a pink shirt though. But I am waiting for pink to fade into the past of fashion and be laughed at by teenagers in a few years.
